Overview
We take quality management very seriously. We know the world has negative perceptions about quality control in Africa. We know everything we produce is subjected to extra levels of scrutiny. And we’re fine with that. Because we also know that, if we don’t produce the very best quality baobab, our customers won’t come back.
That’s why the only PhD we have in our company is the Quality Control manager, Neil Deacon. He has many years of experience in food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical manufacture, and his responsibility is to ensure that nothing leaves our factory without being thoroughly quality checked. Under his supervision, we’ve built our own in-house microbiology lab, so we can constantly monitor the quality of our product. We want to be completely sure it’s all perfect before we release it, and we’ve never had a microbiology problem with anything we’ve sent out. Ever.
Our production is all organically certified, so we have full traceability throughout our supply chain. Every single one of our producers is audited every year, and we would be able to identify a problem at source immediately, if one ever arose. So far it hasn’t happened.
