Overview
On behalf of CAA, I am honoured to welcome you to our Institution. Throughout the life of this site, we shall seek to bring to the visitors the most relevant and up-to-date information about the life at CAA, from its internal organisation, management model, and portfolio of projects to activities of social responsibility and of support for the surrounding community.
The Academy business has been firmly established for a barely 5-year-old organization. The CAA Board seeks to grow the business further by formulating a strategic plan that harnesses all the strength and potential CAA generated over the years and streamline its operations so that the business moves towards achieving operational excellence in all its operations. Achieving Operational excellence will mean CAA will be more than capable to nurture and train chartered accountants, grow its business in the most cost-effective manner possible while still ensuring high quality of service across all programmes.
To achieve this, CAA intends streamlining its core processes in order to become more effectively to respond to continually changing market forces in a cost-effective manner. The Academy will minimize redundancy and waste while leveraging the resources that contribute most to its success and utilizing the best of its workforce, technology, and business processes.
On the 2nd of November, 2015 The CAA board met and approved the 5-year strategic plan with a theme: ‘Vision 2020 achieving operational excellence’. The focus areas that were agreed upon for the implementation of the plan were approved and are as follows:
Provision of world class tuition to Chartered Accountancy students
Provision of world class continuous professional development training to chartered accountants
Development of quality literature for accounting and finance students in Zimbabwe
Provision of value-adding technical and consulting services to commerce and chartered accountants in practice.
