China and Zimbabwe enjoy a long standing friendship. The two countries have established diplomatic relations on April 18, 1980, the very day of Zimbabwe’s independence. In the past 35 years, thanks to the concerted efforts of both sides, the two countries have enjoyed ever-deepening traditional friendship, frequent people-to-people exchanges and fruitful cooperation in all fields, bringing tangible benefits to the two peoples.
