INTRODUCTION

The Government Internet Service Provider (GISP) provides fast, reliable, high-tech, value driven and cost effective back-haul internet connectivity solutions to all of Zimbabwe Government Ministries, Departments and Parastatals. Our experience dates back to 1997, making us a leading internet service provider within the country. We are currently engaged in processes that are designed to turn all manual systems within the Government of Zimbabwe into E-Systems. We are proud of our capacity to back-up our service delivery with after sales support. We have over 17 years’ experience advising and leading clients on the design and implementation of strategic change initiatives and transformational internet services. We are mandated to be the sole provider of Internet services to all Government Ministries, Departments and Parastatals.

HISTORY

The Government Internet Service Provider (GISP) was formed in 1997 and subsequently became operational in 1998. It is mandated to be the sole provider of Internet services to all Government Ministries, Departments and Parastatals. It also provides Internet services to The Executive, the Judiciary and the Legislature.

To offer world class Internet services to the Zimbabwe Government through contemporary technologies.

MISSION

To efficiently, effectively and affordably provide Internet Services to the Government of Zimbabwe and to promote its drive towards e-services.

MEMBERSHIP

The GISP holds membership to all ICT related boards within Zimbabwe.
