Highveld Primary School was established in 1993 for the farming and local community by Richard A. N. Harland, Gregory P. Langlois and Anthony G. Fischer whom where the school’s first Trustees. The school is co-educational, offers both day schooling and boarding (weekly/full) and caters for ECD up to Grade Seven.

We are located along the Rusape-Nyanga road approx 2km from town, amidst a safe and lush environment which offers a welcome break away from the hustle and bustle of town , a wonderful setting for teaching energetic and unique characters! The spacious classrooms are accompanied by a school hall, segregated boarding facilities for boys and girls, as well as sports fields, one swimming pool and four tennis courts. Classes cater for no more than 25 pupils each, and we have a caring and dedicated staff committed to ensuring your child learns to his or her full potential. Our 100% pass rate at Grade Seven ZIMSEC has been consistent and we are extremely proud of all of our pupils, past and present.

GRADE 1-7

We have maintained a 100% pass rate in our Grade 7 ZIMSEC exams for the past eleven years courtesy of a dedicated and experienced staff of teachers. Apart from the general primary school curriculum, children at Highveld Primary School have been active participants in various writing competitions including the N.I.A.A (National Institute of Allied Arts). The school has also been a participant in the British Council – Connecting Classrooms program.  Children also participate in various clubs including drama and speech, conservation, debate, golf, chess and darts.

ECD

Our Early Childhood Development classes have grown immensely over the past four years as a result of a homely environment and reputable contact from the well trained staff. The classes, housed in the cosy Finaughty House, are a hive of activity throughout each day. Children are safely ferried to and from school by bus and are provided with hot meals for lunch and snacks. The classes are well furnished with educative materials, toys and television sets.
