Consultation

The college takes interface between parents and teachers very seriously, for this reason, there is a date set aside to allow parents to visit the school and talk to teachers about their child’s progress or lack of it. Not only are parents expected to come during scheduled days, but are free to come informally to check on their child’s learning.

Discipline

Pace College considers student discipline as critical to effective learning. The importance of mutual respect and rapport between teacher and students cannot be overestimated. lt is important that teachers command the respect of their students, not only by their ability to teach well, but also the respect of their pupils, and their genuine interest and curiosity about what students say.

According to Pace College, the teacher‘s authority derives from four main sources: status, teaching competence, exercising control over the class and exercising control over discipline.

The college undertakes educational visits as a way of exposing students to the outside world and practical approach to teaching.
