Powerspeed Electrical

Our company has a long, robust history, which began in the 1970’s as part of a diversified group known as Mashonaland Holdings. With the unbundling of Mashonaland Holdings in 1997, Powerspeed was formed with the integration of the private company Industrial Electric Holdings and all the electrical divisions of Mashonaland Holdings.

Over the years we have developed our core business activity into a hardware retail chain commonly known as Electrosales Hardware. Powerspeed completes its unification by also supplying bulk traders through Industrial Electric. However this name is about to change and will be known as Electrosales Trade Centre. Although the nature of our company has changed, we’ve always retained our foundation of strength, innovation and perseverance.

Powerspeed Electrical is a public company listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE). Our Board of Directors comprises two executive directors and three non-executive directors.

The daily operations of the organisation are managed by an executive committee comprised of three executive directors and two senior executive managers.

The group employs over 430 people in the fields of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, retail and wholesale throughout Zimbabwe.
