Overview
We are a Catholic Jesuit school comprising of students, former teaching and non-teaching staff, governors, parents, former students and well-wishers. We are committed to an integral, person oriented education which will benefit the individual as well as society. Our life and activities are inspired by Christian faith and values. We create a community that is participative and dedicated to a common goal.
St Ignatius College, a full boarding school was founded in 1962 by the religious order, the Jesuits. The purpose of the college is to educate a total human being (holistic education), that is; intellectual, spiritual, physical, emotional and social. We are very clear and firm in principles as per our vision. We strive continually towards magis in every field. Our goal is to educate leaders in service, men and women for others. We mould human beings who will make a positive difference to society. We thoroughly prepare our students for life.
The main core-values that best describe St. Ignatius community are Excellence, Teamwork, Responsibility, Respect, Integrity, Compassion, Care and Fairness. We recognise the importance of these core-values because they represent the aspirations and beliefs of our community as a whole.
